| The eight friends stood in front of Sheriff Valenti’s desk. It was time to go through the files that had been found. The group decided to split up into two’s to get the job done faster. "Liz, why don’t you work with Tess?" Max said. "Michael, you work with Maria, Kyle with Alex, and Isabel with me." Max looked at his sister questioningly. "Is that alright with everyone?" he asked. "Actually…" Isabel started. "NO!" Max said. "You are with me no matter what. We need to talk anyway. Does anyone else have any problems?" The rest of the group was silent. "Good, Michael take this box. Alex take this one. Liz, you guys can do this box and we’ll do that one, he said pointing to the floor. We’ll all meet back here at noon to report what’s been found. Remember, everything is useful." "Ok, Max!" came the chorus of voices. "We’ll see you in a little bit." The groups carried their boxes to different locations and began to sift through their contents. |
