Wisconsin-based film to be released in Madison, Watertown and Beaver Dam on May 7, 2004 REESEVILLE, Wis. - April 23, 2004 -- Fresh off a successful opening-night screening at the inaugural Milwaukee International Film Festival, where it earned rave reviews, "Reeseville" is coming to a theater near you.

"Reeseville," a character-driven murder mystery set in Reeseville, Wisconsin, will open in Madison, Watertown and Beaver Dam on Friday, May 7. Milwaukee native Christian Otjen wrote and directed the film, which stars Mark Hamill, Sally Struthers, Brad Hunt, Majandra Delfino, Brian Wimmer, as well as several residents of Reeseville and surrounding communities.

"I'm excited that these cities, which were so supportive of 'Reeseville' during and after production, are now among the first to be screening the film," said Otjen, who also wrote and directed the 2001 film "Lady in the Box." "It's especially nice that the many Milwaukee-area actors, extras and production staff who put their heart and soul into this film get to see the fruits of their labor on the big screen."

In "Reeseville," David Meyers (Hunt) returns to his hometown in an attempt to silence the demons of his past. Shortly after his arrival, David's father, John Meyers (Cotter Smith) is found dead of an apparent suicide. Or is it? Buried secrets of the town begin to unfold as the coroner, Zeek Oakman (Hamill) begins to suspect that the suicide was staged.
