TBS Superstation Acquires DAWSON'S CREEK, Airs Four Hours Per Day as Build-Up to Series Finale on WB

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 2003--TBS Superstation has acquired cable-exclusive off-network rights to the hit Sony Pictures Television, Inc. (SPT) series DAWSON'S CREEK, which will end its six-year run on the WB in May, announced Dennis Quinn, executive vice president and general manager of the Superstation.

As a special build-up to the series finale on the WB, TBS Superstation will air the entire series in four-hour blocks weekdays beginning Monday, March 31.

"DAWSON'S CREEK is a perfect fit for TBS Superstation, given the show's enormous popularity among the same young adults that we've been targeting and winning for years," said Quinn. "With this show as part of our line-up, the Superstation is certain to continue dominating the competition in delivery of the highly coveted adults 18-34 demographic."

Beginning Monday, March 31, TBS Superstation will air four episodes of DAWSON'S CREEK each weekday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. (ET), giving viewers the chance to see the entire series in order before it comes to a conclusion on the WB. Following May 14, DAWSON'S CREEK will air weekdays at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. (ET) on the Superstation.

DAWSON'S CREEK tracks the story of a group of teenagers from the breezy Massachusetts coastal town of Capeside from high school into college. James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson star, along with Kerr Smith and Busy Philipps.
