Cry Your Name
60 min.
The aliens suffer a major tragedy when one of their closest human friends dies in a car accident.

Former sheriff Jim Valenti has the unenviable task of telling the extraterrestrial teens and their earthly pals that Alex Whitman (Colin Hanks) was killed after his automobile struck a semi head-on. Initially, the group devises a plan to get Max (Jason Behr) alone with the corpse so he can revive the teen, but the alien leader's efforts fail. As the reality---and finality---of the situation sets in, Maria and Isabel react emotionally to their loss, while Liz remains oddly stoic, even when she makes an eerie discovery in Alex's wrecked car.

It's Too Late, and It's Too Bad
60 min.
Liz continues her investigation into Alex's death and she enlists Sean's help in breaking into the school guidance counselor's office, where she makes a photocopy of Alex's personal file. Meanwhile, Isabel tells Max that she received a letter from a college that she hopes to attend in the fall.

Baby, It's You
60 min.
Max gets the shock of his young life when Tess tells him that they're going to be parents.

The news comes on the heels of the couple's first public display of affection as Max (Jason Behr) escorts Tess (Emilie de Ravin) down the halls of their high school. With his arm around his latest flame, the alien king strolls through the parting sea of students, including Michael, Kyle and a very annoyed Isabel. The announcement of their impending parenthood comes later that evening when Tess discloses her condition to Max. However, the extraterrestrial pregnancy yields unexpected complications: Earth's atmosphere proves to be inhospitable to the unborn child. Singer Nelly Furtado has a cameo.

The alien quartet prepares to go home.

Max (Jason Behr) and his extraterrestrial pals have only 24 hours to say goodbye to their human families and friends as they prepare the Granilith for the journey to their home planet. According to producer Jason Katims, this installment also “solves, pretty definitively, the mystery surrounding [the death of] Alex.”

Busted
60 min.
Max and Liz (Jason Behr, Shiri Appleby) are arrested for armed robbery.

The young lovers are caught when they hold up a convenience store in order to gain access to the storage facility beneath it, where they believe the ship that brought Max to Earth is hidden. In the subsequent hearing, Max's father (Garrett M. Brown) handles their defense, but Liz's parents lose confidence after a discussion with the prosecutor. Two juxtaposed chronologies detail both Max and Liz's legal battles and the events leading up to the holdup, including how they acquired the ship's key.
