Roswell Fans Can Help “Toys For Tots”

As we are in the midst of the holiday season, the staff at Crashdown has been working on the latest charity event for this year which is to benefit “Toys For Tots.” Beginning on Thursday November 29th, an assortment of Roswell items will become available for auction at ebay. This is the final chance this year to acquire some really cool Roswell memorabilia while helping a very worthy charity! The auction will end on December 6th so please plan your bidding accordingly.

The auction package will include:

An autographed color cast photo
A single B&W cast photo of each cast member (8 in all)
A Roswell sweatshirt
A West Roswell High School Athletic Shirt
Two brand new season 3 baseball caps with “Antar” alien symbol logo
A Crashdown Cafe Coffee Mug
A West Roswell High School “Comets” mini football
A “Roswell” note pad cube

As remarkable as the auction sounds, this is only the beginning!! In addition, Roswell fans everywhere have the opportunity to provide additional support in the name of Roswell and UPN by donating toys or money to “Toys For Tots” and/or donating time as a volunteer.

The reason the Toys for Tots charity was chosen this year is because of the military involvement in the Middle East. Many of the Marines on active duty who provide manpower to the program (and would ordinarily be in the U.S. this holiday season) are instead in the Middle East supporting the war effort. By supporting the Toys for Tots Foundation, we are helping to assure that the program is able to continue this season at the same level as in years past. The Foundation will provide cash as needed to pay for transportation and other logistical support to get the toys where most needed. Non-military volunteers will be needed to pick up the slack created by the war, and Foundation support will help these volunteers with their work.

Please help us to make this event the largest in Crashdown’s history! In addition to bidding, donating and volunteering for the cause, don’t forget to tell all your friends and family about this unique opportunity. Post the details anywhere where you would normally discuss Roswell: e-mails, message boards, chat rooms, websites and bulletin boards at work/school.
