UPN finds a new spot in St. Louis on Roberts Broadcasting's WHSL
By Gail Pennington
Post-Dispatch Television Critic

The United Paramount Network will sign on with Roberts Broadcasting Co.'s
WHSL (Channel 46) in early 2003.

The 18-month delay allows WHSL's contract with the Home Shopping Network to
run out. UPN has been homeless in St. Louis since cutting ties with KNLC
(Channel 24) last September.

This fall, KPLR (Channel 11) will continue to run some UPN programs as a
secondary affiliate. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Roswell", and "Star Trek:
Enterprise" will air Saturday nights on KPLR, but the remainder of the UPN
lineup will remain unseen here until the deal with WHSL takes effect.

They had the toughest UPN situation and they didn't give up! They researched!
They networked! They bugged the HELL out of KPLR (a WB affiliate, by the way)
until KPLR via their website pleaded with fans to stop emailing them! And it
all paid off!

CONGRATS TO THE ST. LOUIS FANS!
