Dark Horizons: 4 Part Roswell Arc (Spoilers)
January 19, 2001Posted by Mandy
Thanks to Katrina for this :)

I got this at Dark Horizons http://www.darkhorizons.com/n
ews-n.htm

This is the interesting bit:

Roswell has a 4 part story for Feb. called The Hybrid
Chronicles."

The whole article is below:

The WB 2001 Line-Up: The network just did a teleconference and
talked
a lot about the new shows (and a few old ones) and what they plan to do
with
them this year. Here's the lowdown thanks to 'TVsHenry':

"Upcoming shows: include "Smallville" (Clark Kent show), "Dead
Last"
(from makers of Grosse Pointe Blank and High Fidelity) which has been
postponed
to fall as strike insurance, "The Oblongs" (starts April Fool's Day and is
about
a family that lives on a toxic waste dump and is hideously mutated), "Gene
Pool"
(with Chris Eigeman of Last Days of Disco), projects from Gary Ross
("Pleasantville") and Amy Heckerling ("Clueless"), and TWO shows from the
Sabrina producers (Richie Rich and a Sabrina spinoff with Melissa Joan
Hart's
little sister)

Gilmore Girls is basically being put on the shelf in February so it
doesn't
get nuked by Friends and Survivor but I believe it will be renewed for
next
season.

Grosse Pointe has a February of guest stars (SMG, Elizabeth Berkeley,
Kristin
Davis and Jason Priestley)

Kiss the Bride, the other reality show besides Popstars on WB,
premieres Feb.
12. It's basically a "dream engagement/dream wedding" type show like you
would
see on Lifetime. The other reality show, coming next year, is The Cube
which
sounds very interesting, it's about a bunch of people in a small cube-like
room,
not sure on the details.

This Feb. on Buffy, Spike declares his love for the Slayer.

Someone asked about Buffy's future. Basically Jamie Kellner said that
"networks live in fear" about losing shows and that's why they put up the
big
bucks. But he said they "can schedule their shows with or without Buffy
and it
would not change our performance 1/10 of a ratings point. Do I want Buffy
to
stay? Of course. But we are a successful network without it." Not sure if
I
agree with him, some affiliates rely on Buffy since it is their #1 show
and it
helps promote the rest of their primetime shows. But that's what happened.
