BURBANK, CA (November 21, 2000)

The WB network continues to be the growth story of the new season with another great week in year to year comparisons, scoring a 33% increase in adults 18-34, an 18% increase in adults 18-49 and an 8% increase in viewers 12-34. These results are all the more impressive compared to the Big Four nets who are all down year to year in 12-34 & 18-34 demos and only NBC shows a slight 2% gain in viewers 18-49, while Fox, ABC and CBS are all down year to year. Additionally, The WB was the only network last week to show household ratings gains year to year.
The season long trend keeps on gaining momentum as The WB surpassed CBS in women 18-34 for the FIFTH week in a row.

The WB’s strength is coming from five of their six nights, Monday through Friday. 7TH HEAVEN started the week with a colossal performance last Monday while BUFFY & ANGEL continued their steady fix on Tuesday nights. On Wednesday DAWSON'S CREEK continued to look strong this time scoring second in the timeslot in women 18-34 with FELICITY, which should win comeback show of the year, holding onto 95% of its lead-in in that important demo. Thursday’s GILMORE GIRLS attracted the most men ever for the freshman series and CHARMED continues to grow year to year. The WB’s Friday night line-up completed a tremendous five day period for the network by setting 19 network ratings records set in all timeslots from 8-10 pm.
