Babes Of "Roswell"

Babes of Roswell

As cheesy as it sounds, these chicks are out of this world.

November 15, 2000

There's nothing wrong with watching the WB, as far as I can tell. Sure, I know I get mocked for it a lot by my friends, but they just don't understand the glory of all the beautiful women that exist there. Aside from Dawson's Creek, Roswell has the highest number of hot chicks going for it. And somewhere, deep in it's episodes, I'm sure there's a coherent story going on. What it is, I just can't figure out. Something about arranged marriages, interplanetary warfare, princesses… wait a minute, that sounds like Star Wars! Now I'm getting suspicious…

The Teen Celeb Gossip of the Day
Monday November 13, 2000

---------------------------------------------------

Jason Behr Is Out Of This World!

And not just because he portrays an alien on the TV show
"Roswell." Twenty-six-year-old Jason is a life-long sci-fi
fan. Of course, he grew up on "Star Wars," "E.T.," and
"Star Trek." But he spent countless extra hours leafing
through science fiction and fantasy books, like "The
Hobbit" and "The Lord Of The Rings." Jason was even a
devoted viewer of "Third Rock From The Sun" until he became
too busy playing an alien on "Roswell" to watch!

Thanks to Lightstar Angel for sending this in :)

As you all know, Jason’s birthday is December 30,2000. He is also in the
midst of shooting Roswell which can take up to 18 hours a day working. So a
group of us came up with an idea to raise money for a variety of charities
in
honor of Jason.

If you decide to participate, please go to www.behritall.com which has all
the details.

Basically, we are asking you to pick 1 or more charities and send a check or

money order payable to that charity, to the person that is in charge of that

particular organization(there is a list on the website)

Include information about yourself as instructed the web site. All the
information will be put together in a scrapbook for Jason and the checks
will
be forwarded to the individual charities with a cover letter and donor list
telling them the your donation is in honor of Jason’s 27th birthday.

Dig deep into your pockets. Your donations are tax-deductible and this is
something Jason can look at in a leisurely fashion. It is a forever
keepsake.

Minimum donation is $5.00 plus a $1.00 entry fee into the scrapbook to cover

expenses. Any expense money left over will be donated to one or more of the
charities.

JASON WILL GET THE SCRAPBOOK. We've made sure that it will be in Jason's
hands by his birthday so, don’t be left out!! Visit http://www.behritall.com

now.

Deadline for submission into the scrapbook & donations is November 21, 2000!

Thanx!

MAJANDRA DELFINO

Thanks to Liz for this :)

I was looking through old magazines that I have lying around – ready to
throw out – and discovered an article on Majandra Delfino in the October
1997 issue of Seventeen under the heading: “Who’s New on Fall TV: They’re
cool, talented and, er, completely unknown – until now. Here’s the scoop on
seven of this season’s freshest new stars.” It also includes a picture of
Majandra with extra-long (natural) brown hair, and a caption that reads: “I
came in to my audition not afraid of authority. I wasn’t timid, and I had a
bit of an attitude.” Here’s the article, by April P. Bernard:

“I’m so not a lady,” says Majandra Delfino, smiling. The girl who plays
older sis Tina on The Tony Danza Show disdains pastels, has practically zero
interest in what guys think – and exudes loads of confidence. “I’m not
girly-girl enough to care about whether I look good on camera or have the
right makeup,” the 16-year-old says.
On her new NBC series, the star of last year’s Zeus and Roxanne speaks her
mind just as fearlessly. “Tina is very intelligent and independent – she’s
got guts,” says Majandra. “As far as TV goes, my character in the realest
I’ve seen.”
Reality to this Venezuela-born actress meant surprising everyone at her
audition by relating a happy story that echoed what was, for Danza, a
traumatic experience. After a 1993 ski accident that left him with six
broken ribs, Danza was whisked down the mountain on a sled towed by a skier.
Majandra, caught in a hailstorm while skiing, was brought down the same way
– only she loved the experience. “It was like a roller coaster,” she raves.
Danza was impressed; now he backs her up on practically anything – like her
desire to wear her big silver thumb ring on camera. It’s not a question of
vanity, though: This is “a pre-pre-pre-pre--engagement ring from my love,”
she says. “Not to wear it wouldn’t be me.” Majandra knows that better than
anyone.

BILL SADLER

Thanks to Mel for this :)

Hi..just letting you know that a slight variation of
the William sadler article you posted yesterday ran in
my very small local paper (The Gloucester County Times
[NJ]) today. This is cool b/c they almost never have
any cool entertainment stuff since it is so small. In
other words, there is no way people could resist
reading it...LOL.

Thanks

Sadler Happy He Chose Roswell

Veteran character actor William Sadler--now best known for playing the sheriff in The WB's teen alien series Roswell--told the Associated Press that it wasn't hard for him to commit to series television after a successful movie career. "In this town, when somebody writes something good, it's like a nugget of gold," he told the AP. "I wasn't too worried about what effect it would have on my film career. People go back and forth all the time. I was more concerned about the direction of the character."

As Roswell's Sheriff Jim Valenti, Sadler's been able to broaden his character beyond the strict lawman of the first season. "There are a lot of firsts for me with this show," Sadler said. "I never had an on-screen romantic entanglement until now. I've never worked with these kind of special effects."

Executive producer Jonathan Frakes (who played Cmdr. Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation) told the AP that Sadler has brought a lot to the role. "When we started, it was unclear what the part would be and where it would go," Frakes said. "He's taken the character from just a hard-nosed sheriff to a complex man dealing with issues--from his relationship with his dad to the one with his son." Roswell airs Mondays at 9 p.m.
