From MSNBC.com: TV winners and losers HOLLYWOOD — The WB believes in aliens, but ABC is having trouble with “Normal” The WB network has ordered nine additional episodes of its sophomore sci-fi drama “Roswell,” giving the show a full season run of 22 episodes. “Roswell” garnered solid reviews last season and decent ratings but still barely managed to get renewed for a second year. The WB ultimately ordered 13 episodes for this season, spurred in part by a strong fan-based campaign to save the show and a decision to emphasize more of the show’s sci-fi elements. On the flip side, ABC has pulled rookie comedy “The Trouble with Normal” off the air for the remainder of the November sweeps. The series has been a consistent ratings loser since its Oct. 6 debut as part of the network’s new Friday night comedy block. ABC refused to say “Normal” was dead, although the network has yet to officially schedule a December return date. The critically lambasted show revolves around four paranoid New Yorkers and their shrink.
