I was watching EXTRA today, and they had a little story
on Dido. It talked about her recent appearances on the
Season Premiere of SNL (Saturday Night Live), Her hit songs,
and of course singing the theme song for our favorite show
Roswell.

I found a combination

Dido may be new to most American ears, but she's
definitely no stranger to fame. Millions of fans
already know the British chanteuse's pipes -- if not
her name -- from her stint in the electro-trance
outfit Faithless, which was led by her older brother
Rollo. Since going solo, though, her career has taken
off Stateside thanks to two decidedly modern-age
breaks: first, she penned and performed the theme song
to the spaced-out television series Roswell, and
second, her song "Thank You" was sampled by none other
than Eminem on his hit "Stan." None of that exposure
would be worth anything if she didn't have the sound
to keep people coming back, though, and plenty feel
she's got that area covered on No Angel. With gentle
melodies and her resonant, airy voice at the
forefront, this subtly trip-hop-flavored set brings
Sarah McLachlan and mellower, more electronica-driven
Cranberries to mind. Despite its title, No Angel is a
celestial place indeed.

A Faithless Dido Emerges

The arty black and white contact sheets that grace both the front and back cover of the promotional version of Dido's debut album, No Angel, reflect the moody, sophisticated alterna-jazz of the London-based singer-songwriter.

Dido the person creates a sharp contrast from the image her music conveys though. A self-professed "chatterbox," she maintains all the bubbly enthusiasm her youthful age (she is in her early '20s) and incredible good fortune entitles her to. "It does feel like I've had some streak of big time luck," she says.

VH1.com is featuring DIDO as an emerging artist...They did an interview
with her, and have alot of really informational background history. The
interview is summerized but there are link to hear exactly what she
says. There is a part that says where she got the inspiration for "Here
With Me". but I am not sure if there is any mention of Roswell because
web tv does not let me listen to the interviews. Anyways I thought other
Dido fans might like to know...

I saw the trailer for Gywneth Paltrow and Ben Afleck's new movie, "Bounce."
