'Roswell's' Nutter Signs With Warner Bros. TV

LOS ANGELES (Zap2It.com) - Producer-director David Nutter, who most recently helmed the two-hour pilot of the upcoming FOX series "Dark Angel," has signed a one-year development deal with Warner Bros. Television, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the deal, Nutter will develop, produce and direct a TV series for the production studio. The deal also reunites Nutter with friend Peter Roth, Warner Bros. TV's president. The two worked together during Roth's tenure at 20th Century Fox.

"Over the last eight years, I've had the pleasure of being able to work with David and have witnessed his outstanding directing on some of television's finest hours, including the 'X-Files' and 'Roswell,'" Roth said.

Nutter executive produced the series "Roswell" for The WB along with partner Jason Katims. He has also served as producer on "The X-Files" and "Millenium." His directing credits include the TV series "21 Jump Street," "The Commish," "X-Files" and "ER." He also directed the film "Disturbing Behavior," starring Katie Holmes and James Marsden ("X-Men"). Nutter previously had a multi-year deal with FOX that expired this year.
