City TV Respone to mail about Roswell
June 21, 2000Posted by squanto
This is the form letter that City TV sends to people asking about Roswell in Canada. Thanks to ~*Louise*~, tinyman, and Ronda for sending this in. Ronda says that "Space" will be airing first season reruns.

Citytv will broadcast "Roswell", a suspenseful and touching one-hour drama
that blends science-fiction with the alienation of young adulthood, Mondays
at 8:00pm, beginning in October, 2000. Citytv is thrilled to have "Roswell"
on its fall schedule to please the many fans who are devoted to this
award-nominated program. "Roswell" came into its own creatively, and
ratings-wise, in its last few episodes of Season One, and earned its way
into the hearts of its devoted fan base. It is a significant prime-time
addition for Citytv.

Roswell has become a symbol of government conspiracy and deception regarding
'extraterrestrial visitations' for the community of UFO believers. Many
believe that the Air Force worked with the FBI to squash a rogue element
within the military that wanted to reveal the truth about Alien visitors.
Over the years, there have been numerous accounts of mysterious activity in
the area around Roswell. Now, there is a television show that explores the
same mystery.

In its sophomore year, "Roswell", based on the series of books Roswell High
by Melinda Metz, is set in the tiny, but notorious southwestern town of
Roswell, New Mexico. Two teenagers -- Liz Parker (Shiri Appleby) and Max
Evans (Jason Behr) -- forge an out-of-this-world connection when he saves
her life. Liz discovers that Max, his sister Isabel Evans (Katherine Heigl)
and his friend Michael Guerin (Brendan Fehr) are surviving descendants from
beings on board the fiery crash of an alien spacecraft that legend says
plummeted to the ground in 1947. Since emerging from incubation, the three
teenagers have grown up quietly among the Roswell residents, experiencing
first hand all the emotions that come with life on Earth and the struggles
of adolescence.

Liz was forever changed in the instant Max brought her back to life and the
intimacy between the two of them is thrilling. The extraterrestrial trio of
Max, Isabel and Michael learn to trust Liz in order to stay one step ahead
of local officials and the FBI, who are hot on their trail.

Don't miss Season Two of "Roswell", coming to Citytv in October, 2000.
