Shiri Appleby ("Roswell") and Larisa Oleynik ("10
Things I Hate About You") are set to topline the indie
project "A Time for Dancing," which will be directed
by "Hoop Dreams" producer Peter Gilbert. "Dancing"
marks the first time that Gilbert has solo helmed a
feature, having co-directed the upcoming "All the
Rage" with James Stern. Described as a "Terms of
Endearment" for the teenage set, "Dancing" tells the
story of two high school girls (Appleby and Oleynik)
whose love for dance is challenged -- along with their
friendship -- when one of them (Oleynik) is diagnosed
with cancer. Production begins April 12 in Los Angeles.
