| As Michael leaned in to claim a kiss from Maria again, Isabel made a move to break them up. Do we really have to watch this, for goodness sake. It made her want to throw up. But something stopped her. It was a minute before she realized what it was. She’d seen it this morning, but it hadn’t hit her then. For the first time in the years she’d known him, Michael’s brow lost that angry scowl, and his eyes that hunted look they’d worn ever since she could remember. With great generosity, Her Highness decided then to lay off the kooky blonde, at least for now. Funny how things turn out, Isabel smiled to herself. Who would have guessed that that Maria-girl, who once nearly gave them away to Valenti, would be the one to possess the greatest secret power of all. *end* |
